About Perioral Dermatitis

Perioral dermatitis is a form of eczema that can be triggered by a number of different triggers. In general, the syndrome is triggered when there is an abnormality in the skin’s natural pH level (which causes the skin to have an excess of liquid and a dryness over-accumulation of dead skin cells). Other triggers include allergies, environmental irritants (such as cigarette smoke), and food allergies. The good news about Perioral Dermatitis is that the condition is relatively easy to treat once it has been identified.
